Die Zahl junger Menschen aus Deutschland, die sich für ein Leben für den Dschihad entschieden und sich dem "Heiligen Krieg gegen die Ungläubigen" anschlossen haben, steigt stetig an. Im Jahr 2016 kletterte die Zahl der Rekrutierten aus Deutschland auf ca. 800. Ungefähr 180 Rückkehrer aus Syrien und dem Irak halten sich zur Zeit wieder in der Bundesrepublik auf. Diese Zahlen und die islamistisch geprägten Anschläge der letzten Zeit verleihen diesem Thema eine besondere Relevanz In dieser Hinsicht soll der Zusammenhang von Internet und dschihadistischer Radikalisierung genauer untersucht werden. With the Paralympics now underway it got me thinking: we work with tech every day and think nothing of it, but for some people technology is the only reason they’re able to get up and do what they love. I was thinking specifically about the way technology has helped people with physical disabilities get involved in sport over the years and achieve some incredible athletic feats despite their impairments. It felt like a good time to look back on some of the inventions that have played a part in that, and some that are currently in development. Some of my friends have started using something called 'Special K'. It's a white powder and they snort it. What is it and what is the 'K hole' that they keep talking about? 'Special K' is a street term for ketamine, a powerful anaesthetic used in both human and veterinary surgery.  It is a dissociative drug, which means that when used, the mind leaves the body causing the user to experience quite intense hallucinations. Ketamine was first used extensively during the Vietnam War during battlefield surgery.  When soldiers returned home, those who had been given the drug talked about the experiences that they had had whilst under the effect of the drug and not surprisingly it started to be used recreationally. Its popularity increased quite dramatically in the 1990s, this time amongst the nightclub scene, with people reporting that the drug enhanced the clubbing experience (e.g., the music sounded different and the lights were more intense...

La contaminación, el agotamiento de los recursos naturales, la extinción de especies y la destrucción de los ecosistemas son serios problemas está confrontando la especie humana.     Por esta razón, es alarmante la poca atención que le prestamos a estos problemas. La mayor parte de la sociedad actúa como si la crisis ecológica no existiera y precisamente ese es el problema más inquietante. En al ámbito académico y en general en el mundo de la cultura existe una gran indiferencia. Los ingenieros, economistas, científicos, juristas, escritores, artistas, humanistas, periodistas y editores son personas que han recibido una buena formación y deberían comprender mejor la gravedad de este problema.
